Description
PC PBT Kevlar – Technical Filament with Kevlar Fibers for 3D Printing
Natural Color
PC PBT Kevlar is an advanced technical filament designed for industrial applications and optimized for FDM-FFF 3D printing. This material combines the exceptional properties of a polycarbonate (PC) and polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) blend, enhanced with 5% Kevlar fibers, to deliver superior mechanical and tribological performance.
Printing Parameters:
- Printing temperature: 245°-260°C
- Build plate temperature: 60°-80°C
- Recommended adhesive: 3DBooster lock
- Drying: 100°C for 4 hours, or 90°C for 6-8 hours before use
Key Features:
- Kevlar fiber reinforcement: Ensures high mechanical resilience and impact resistance, even under demanding conditions.
- Thermal resistance: Stable up to over 150°C, suitable for high-temperature components.
- Chemical resistance: Effective against solvents, oils, greases, and gasoline.
- Dimensional stability: Minimal shrinkage, ideal for precise prints.
- Self-lubricating properties: Perfect for gears, bushings, and wear-prone moving parts.
PC PBT Kevlar stands out for its greater flexibility compared to carbon fiber-reinforced variants, making it ideal for dynamic applications requiring elasticity without compromising strength. The combination of wear resistance and high self-lubrication makes it particularly suited for mechanical components such as bearings or moving parts.
Thanks to the purity of its raw materials, the filament is homogeneous, easy to print, and exhibits minimal warping—even without a heated chamber. This industrial-grade material ensures excellent adhesion to heated and glass build plates, delivering superior-quality 3D prints.
