Description
PC PBT Kevlar – Technical Kevlar Fiber 3D Printing Filament
Color Black
PC PBT Kevlar is an advanced technical filament engineered for industrial applications and designed for FDM-FFF 3D printing. This material combines the exceptional properties of a Polycarbonate (PC) and Polybutylene Terephthalate (PBT) blend, enhanced with 5% Kevlar fibers, to deliver superior mechanical and tribological performance.
Printing Parameters:
- Printing Temperature: 245°-260°C
- Build Plate Temperature: 60°-80°C
- Recommended Adhesive: 3DBooster lock
- Drying: 100°C for 4 hours, or 90°C for 6-8 hours prior to use
Key Features:
- Kevlar Fiber Reinforcement: ensures high mechanical resilience and impact resistance, even under demanding conditions.
- Thermal Resistance: stable up to over 150°C, suitable for components exposed to high temperatures.
- Chemical Resistance: effective against solvents, oils, greases, and gasoline.
- Dimensional Stability: minimal shrinkage, ideal for precision printing.
- Self-Lubricating Properties: perfect for gears, bushings, and parts subject to contact wear.
PC PBT Kevlar stands out for its greater flexibility compared to its carbon fiber counterpart, making it ideal for dynamic applications that require elasticity without compromising on robustness. The combination of wear resistance and high self-lubrication makes it particularly suitable for mechanical components like bearings or moving parts.
Thanks to the purity of the raw materials, the filament is homogeneous, easy to print, and exhibits minimal warping, even without the use of a heated chamber. This industrial-grade material offers excellent adhesion to heated and glass build plates, ensuring superior quality 3D prints.
