Without sanding: from printing to painting
Sanding is the longest stage of post-production. With 3DBooster Filler the workflow is simpler: print, primer, paint. The filler primer fills layer lines and creates a smooth surface, without sanding and without dust. The result is an even finish and a real saving of hours of work.
🧪 What 3DBooster Filler is
3DBooster Filler is a white spray filler primer for 3D printing. It is developed for FDM printing, but is also suitable for SLS and resin prints. It is applied to a clean, dry surface, fills layer lines and prepares the part for painting. It is ready to use and available in a 400 ml format.
✨ Key features
- White and covering: creates an even base for painting.
- High filling power: fills layer lines and visible defects.

- Wide compatibility: FDM, SLS and resin prints.
- Two coats: easy application, avoiding build-up.
- Full drying: at least 24 hours for a stable base.

🔧 How to apply 3DBooster Filler
- Clean and degrease the piece. For this step, 3DBooster recommends 3DBooster Fineclean.
- Shake the can well before use.
- Spray from a distance of 20-30 cm, using cross coats.
- Apply two coats over the entire surface, avoiding build-up.
- Leave to dry completely for at least 24 hours, away from sunlight.
- Test the paint on a scrap piece.
- Paint the piece with one coat of paint.
- For a premium finish, apply 1-2 coats of 3DBooster UV-Shield when the paint is dry.
⏳ Drying time: at least 24 hours
Drying is the step that determines the quality of the result. 3DBooster Filler must dry completely: allow at least 24 hours. The time may vary depending on temperature, humidity and the thickness of the coats. During drying, do not expose the part to direct sunlight. Do not apply paint or other coats before the surface is completely dry.
🎨 Painting and premium finishing with UV-Shield
After complete drying, the part is ready for painting. 3DBooster Filler is compatible with a wide range of paints. Before painting, always carry out a test on a scrap piece to check adhesion and compatibility. Generally, one coat of paint is sufficient. For a premium finish, when the paint is dry, apply one or two coats of 3DBooster UV-Shield: the result is a deeper, glossier surface protected from UV rays.
